Cloud Engineer
As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in our client's cloud initiatives, particularly focusing on the AWS platform and serverless technologies. You'll be integral to our agile scrum teams, contributing to ongoing projects and supporting the development of solutions within targeted sprints. Collaboration will be key, as you'll work closely with a diverse team of architects, data engineers, analysts, and more.

This role is fully remote.

Cloud Engineer Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy solutions within AWS serverless cloud architecture, leveraging tools such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Kinesis, and more.
• Work on the Customer Demand Platform project, providing specific solutions for line operations centers to assign/dispatch crews for work projects. This project is built on serverless AWS technology, including Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
• Utilize Python programming language for writing Lambdas and integrating with serverless tools.
• Retrieve and manipulate backend data within Lambdas using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate effectively within scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within specifications.

Cloud Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AWS platform and AWS serverless tools, including Lambda, API Gateway, and others.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and deployment best practices.
• Experience with Python programming language, particularly in the context of serverless development.
• General SQL experience for data manipulation and retrieval.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:

• AWS cloud certifications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
• Experience with additional AWS services like Kinesis.
• Hands-on experience with serverless architectures and tools beyond Lambda, such as Step Functions and DynamoDB.

Compensation: $55-$65/hr. (DOE)
