Environment, Health & Safety Coordinator (EHS)
Our client seeks an experienced EHS Coordinator to join their organization in Hillsboro, OR.
This role is onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct worksite audits to identify potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate risks.
- Promote safety awareness through training seminars and informational materials.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and update work instructions as needed.
- Investigate workplace accidents and complaints.
- Assist with emergency response plans.
- Inspect work areas for safety hazards and risks.
- Lead the safety committee.
- Train employees and temporary employees for forklift operations.
- File OSHA reports in a timely.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in safety management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations, laws, and industry standards relevant to food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of hazard assessment techniques, risk management strategies, and incident investigation protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Proven track record of building safety programs and fostering a culture of safety.
Salary: $27-$35/hr. (DOE)
