Network Operations Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to lead their IT (Information Technology) network operations team. This role requires an expert understanding of network infrastructure, including design, implementation, and management with a strong emphasis on digital security, phone systems, and routing/switching. The Network Operations Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our network systems to support the company's objectives.

This is a hybrid position in Vancouver, WA.

Network Operations Manager Responsibilities
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems including LANs, WANs, SD-WAN, and network segments, with a focus on robust security measures.
Direct and manage IT network infrastructure projects, focusing on enhancing security features during capacity planning, system upgrades, and technology migrations.
Lead the development and implementation of advanced network security strategies including encryption technologies, secure tunneling, and multi-factor authentication systems.
Manage comprehensive security audits with our trusted third parties which include vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Develop, implement, and enforce stringent network security policies and practices, managing firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and comprehensive access control lists.
Administer and maintain the company's IP telephony systems, ensuring secure communications and efficient call routing.
Manage network devices, ensuring they meet the latest security standards for connectivity, traffic management, and network segmentation.
Coordinate with IT teams to integrate and support SaaS applications, ensuring secure and efficient access for end-users while complying with regulatory standards.
Proactively monitor network performance, identify security risks, and lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and security lapses.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff, with a strong focus on building a security-first culture.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the CIO (Chief Information Officer).

Network Operations Manager Qualifications
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of network engineers with a security-focused mindset.
Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively under the pressures of maintaining high-security standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on security solutions.
General math skills and a detail-oriented approach.

Educational Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a significant portion in network security management.
Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or other relevant security certifications are highly desirable.

Communication Skills:
Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with regular contact with both internal and external stakeholders.

Work Conditions:
This position may include frequent interruptions, evening/weekend work, and varied hours based on business needs and security emergencies.

Work Hours:
Generally, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional after-hours work depending on security assessments and project needs.

Salary: Up to $150K + bonuses and benefits (DOE)
