Sales Development Manager (Food Manufacturing)
Our rapidly growing co-manufacturing client seeks a B2B Sales Development Manager to join their outbound sales team. This role reports to the Vice President of the division and plays an integral part in ensuring the ongoing success of the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep industry experience in food manufacturing and brings a clear business development strategy, customer-focused, and confident in their ability to close a sale.
This is role requires qualified applicants monthly travel to offices near Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area.
Sales Development Manager (Food Manufacturing)
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Perform business development research to ensure steady growth of the organization.
- Identify customer needs to propose product solutions.
- Maximize sales by ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with various departments including production and R&D to ensure customers receive an exceptional overall experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, sales trends, and growth markets in the healthy snacking space.
- Occasional travel up to 20% as needed.
Sales Development Manager (Food Manufacturing)
- At least 5 years of proven success in business to business (B2B) sales, with strong focus on new client relationships, developing key accounts.
- Prior experience in private label and/or co-manufacturing sales required. Food manufacturing highly preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate clear development strategies and approaches.
- Prior project management and cross functional collaboration experience within manufacturing sales.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and business partnering skills with a strong sense of motivation and hunter mentality.
- Able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines with excellent creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
Salary: $100k-$120k + Performance Based Bonus (DOE)
