Data Engineer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering, cloud services, and DevOps. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, focusing on building robust data pipelines, performing data modeling, and conducting data analysis. If you are an expert in Python, SQL, and Data Engineering, with extensive experience in AWS and CI/CD processes, this role could be a great fit for you!

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

Data Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.
• Develop data models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis across multiple platforms.
• Analyze data and generate insights to support business decision-making.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and other tools for data transformation and data integration tasks.
• Work with a modern tech stack, including Data Bricks, AirFlow, AWS, EMR, and more.
• Implement CI/CD practices and manage DevOps responsibilities to ensure smooth deployment and continuous support of production applications.
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda) to build integrated applications in production environments.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and implement complex data solutions.
• Participate in two 1-hour technical coding interviews to assess coding proficiency and problem-solving abilities.

Data Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering and modeling.
• Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.
• Expertise in using Data Bricks for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with AirFlow and EMR for orchestration and processing.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with building and supporting software in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate database design and processes effectively.

Compensation: $69.72/hr. (DOE)
