Data Governance Analyst
Our client is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to drive foundational data governance efforts by eliminating data risks identified through internal audit and ensuring alignment with product creation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management on the user side, along with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Data Governance Analyst Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and implement data governance frameworks to ensure accurate product data management across the organization.
- Inform and educate business partners about their roles in data governance, supporting the teams managing the data.
- Influence and engage with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build accurate business metadata and hold them accountable for its development.
- Document and publish critical business metadata, ensuring it is maintained, accessed, and applied appropriately throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with both business and technology partners to ensure metadata is documented and accessible in the enterprise data catalog.
- Lead direct engagements with data governance and business partners to define and secure product data, ensuring quality, risk management, and cost-effectiveness.
- Organize collected information, document processes, track progress, and publish data in the metadata management tool.
Data Governance Analyst Qualifications
- 2 or more years of hands-on data management experience, with a focus on user-side data handling.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Strong verbal and technical communication skills with the ability to capture and articulate clear data definitions across teams.
- Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to build relationships, foster trust, influence decision-making, and work independently.
Preferred:
- Understanding of footwear, apparel, and equipment products.
Compensation: $46.67/hr. (DOE)
