Senior Financial Auditor
Our Pacific Northwest client seeks an experienced Senior Financial Auditor to support their organization's internal auditing efforts.
This is a remote role requiring Pacific Time Zone hours of 9am-5pm PST.
Preference given to candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Montana, or Wisconsin.
Senior Financial Auditor Responsibilities
- Perform audits to assess the accuracy of internal and partner financial reports, and assist with regulatory audits by agencies such as OHA and NAIC.
- Write and execute audit programs independently, prepare work papers and reports, and recommend improvements for identified deficiencies.
- Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and assist external auditors and compliance officers during site audits.
- Assist with month-end financial close, special projects, and process improvements while serving as a technical resource to finance staff.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, support equity and inclusion, and contribute to the organization's strategic goals and mission.
Senior Financial Auditor Qualifications
- CPA (active or in-process) required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Prior internal audit or public accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of financial auditing experience with strong knowledge of regulations and risk assessment processes.
- Tech-savvy with ERP systems and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary: $52/hr. (DOE)
