Buyer
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for driving consumer-focused strategies and delivering product solutions tailored to market demands in the footwear and apparel sectors. Previous Buyer/Merchandising experience is highly preferred for this role. The candidate should be adept in handling various product categories with a focus on footwear and apparel, demonstrating a keen sense of market and consumer trends to drive product selections and assortments.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Buyer Responsibilities
• Develop and execute consumer insights and assortment planning strategies to meet consumer demands and market trends.
• Collaborate with product development teams to inform on consumer needs and preferences for both category and geographical considerations.
• Build and manage directed product assortments that align with the company’s category vision and revenue targets.
• Edit and curate product lines for specific locations and categories, including selecting products outside of the global core offerings to enhance variety and market relevance.
• Ensure that all product initiatives consider the retail perspective, aiming to optimize market penetration and consumer satisfaction.
Buyer Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in retail, buying, and/or merchandising.
• Proven track record as a buyer or merchandiser, preferably within the footwear and apparel industry.
• Strong skills in customer service, merchandising, and retail management.
Compensation: 26.67/hr.
