Technical Writer
Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to enhance the clarity, quality, and consistency of technical publications and materials. This role requires the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise content for diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, particularly in healthcare, science, or related industries.
This role is fully remote. Candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.
Technical Writer Responsibilities
- Document and refine process and data flows to improve clarity and efficiency.
- Review and edit specialized technical documents, including medication coverage policies, patient-educational materials, and scientific studies.
- Develop and enhance presentations, such as PowerPoint decks and promotional materials.
- Ensure adherence to corporate, legal, and regulatory editorial standards.
- Support the creation of materials that highlight the value of products and services.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop website content for internal and external distribution.
- Coordinate web content updates with IT teams and external partners.
- Assist in the production of sales and marketing materials, including responses to requests for proposals.
- Track document production timelines and ensure content quality.
- Plan and manage project workloads efficiently while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Design, develop, and implement specialized technical documentation tailored to business needs.
- Work closely with business partners to gather insights and refine messaging.
- Apply industry knowledge to deliver high-quality, relevant content that aligns with organizational goals.
Technical Writer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, journalism, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in health journalism, medical writing, or technical journalism.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into accessible, user-friendly language.
- Strong skills in creating and managing templates in Word and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience resolving complex project issues with diplomacy and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of various media formats and technical writing best practices.
- Familiarity with marketing principles as they relate to content development.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
