Account Manager – Sports Apparel/Footwear
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator with a robust sales background in fashion or footwear and a proven track record in key account management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping strategic partnerships and driving sales initiatives across global markets.

This role is a hybrid model in Boston, Massachusetts.

Account Manager – Sports Apparel/Footwear Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Strategy Lead, GP GM, and other GEO leaders to develop strategic approaches for global key account management.
  • Support the tactical execution of commercial selling opportunities each season, aligning closely with GEO GMs and commercial leads for targeted Key Accounts.
  • Facilitate key account engagement at various organizational levels, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
  • Lead the creation of marketplace mapping for strategic key accounts, aligning with the client’s overall marketplace framework.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans and approaches for targeted key accounts or segments, such as approaches tailored for retail and sporting goods.
  • Work across different geographies and teams without direct reports, focusing on collaborative and cross-functional efforts to meet company goals.

Account Manager – Sports Apparel/Footwear Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field; an MBA is preferred but not required.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in sales, specifically within the fashion, footwear, or apparel sectors.
  • Extensive experience in key account management, preferably within the sports apparel/footwear industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial background with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a natural ability to be persuasive and engaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter and as part of a team in a dynamic, cross-geographical role.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification and product experience are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Naturally outgoing and proactive in engaging new business opportunities.
  • Team-minded approach with a talent for working effectively across diverse teams and cultural backgrounds.

Compensation: $59.86-$70.42/hr. (DOE)
