Apparel Designer
Our client is seeking an Apparel Designer to join the their Women’s Running Apparel Creation team. This role focuses on apparel design, garment fit, and pattern development, contributing to innovative technical solutions for performance apparel.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Apparel Designer Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Women’s Running team to develop top-tier technical running apparel.
  • Assist in the design and construction of garments, focusing on both fitted and loose styles across knit and woven materials.
  • Lead fit sessions with live models to ensure garment fit aligns with brand standards.
  • Create and refine garment patterns using tools such as Optitex and CLO.
  • Build garment specifications, pattern grading, and construction standards for pre-season and in-season development.
  • Partner with Design, Materials, Product Management, PCC/Development (overseas), and Operations teams to ensure high-quality product creation.
  • Apply data-driven insights to enhance design decisions, focusing on innovation and performance.
  • Engage in project management and strategic problem-solving to ensure efficient and effective product development.

Apparel Designer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in product design, fit specialization, technical apparel development, or apparel construction and design.
  • Expertise in garment construction, fit, and pattern development for various materials (excluding leggings and bras).
  • Proficiency with CAD pattern design software (e.g., Optitex) and 3D tools (e.g., CLO).
  • Skilled in translating patterns into product specifications and construction standards.
  • Experience leading fit sessions and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage high workloads.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, MS Office programs, and other tech packs and PML tools.

Compensation: $50/hr. (DOE)
