Business Project Manager
Our client seeks an experienced Business Project Manager to lead a platform change for their investment accounting system, focusing on business requirements and user acceptance testing. This high-impact role requires a seasoned Project Manager adept at navigating mid-stream project phases, vendor management, and overseeing a transition between enterprise accounting platforms. The Project Manager will work closely with finance SMEs, IT stakeholders, and vendor partners to ensure seamless integration and project success.

This role is fully remote. PST working hours are required.

Business Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the investment accounting system project, ensuring alignment with business requirements and overseeing the project lifecycle through to post-launch support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor implementation teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across teams with varying deadlines.
  • Conduct detailed documentation sessions, gather and validate business requirements, and partner with business analysts to translate them into actionable project steps.
  • Oversee UAT, manage testing processes, coordinate feedback, and address issues to ensure deliverables meet business requirements before go-live.
  • Provide regular project updates, prepare reports, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to highlight project milestones, challenges, and solutions.

Business Project Manager Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of project management experience, ideally in business and financial project management or investment accounting systems.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity to address project challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Project for project planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and drive alignment on project objectives.

Compensation: $70-$75/hr. (DOE)
