Business Systems Analyst
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our client's Field Operations Services Information Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and providing technical solutions for networking and system-related issues. You will work cross-functionally to provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, and contribute to system improvements. This position requires a high level of communication skills, creativity, and hands-on experience with system analysis, process documentation, and testing.

This is a remote position.

Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Elicit, gather, and document detailed business and system requirements from stakeholders.
Process Analysis: Document current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) business processes, identifying gaps, problems, and opportunities for improvement.
Solution Research: Investigate and research potential system solutions to meet operational needs, recommending optimal approaches.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, design test cases, and execute testing to validate system functionality and performance.
Defect Tracking: Record system defects, track progress on bug fixes, and conduct retesting to ensure issues are resolved.
Documentation: Produce clear and concise technical documentation, ensuring transparency and accessibility for team members and stakeholders.

Business Systems Analyst Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (9+ years in a related area).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience in eliciting and documenting system requirements.
Hands-on experience in performing as-is/to-be process and system analysis.
Experience in creating test plans, designing test cases, and executing testing.

Preferred
Knowledge and experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or similar software systems that support transportation agency maintenance and operations processes.

Compensation:$60-$70/hr. (DOE)
