Customer Service Logistics Coordinator
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Logistics Coordinator to join their logistics team. This role is crucial for coordinating outbound freight operations while ensuring top-notch customer service and efficient logistics processes. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, exhibit a proactive problem-solving approach, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.
Customer Service Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities
- Arrange and schedule outbound freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding their outbound freight needs, providing updates and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Prepare and review essential shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and tracking details.
- Communicate with freight carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate rates, and confirm shipment details.
- Proactively identify and resolve freight-related issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Use logistics and customer management software to track shipments and accurately update customer records.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate and timely outbound order fulfillment.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for enhancing outbound freight processes and contribute to the development of best practices.
Customer Service Logistics Coordinator Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in logistics or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of freight shipping regulations and practices is a plus.
Salary: $65k/year. (DOE)
