  • Develop tests and build pipelines for automated deployment.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting for custom infrastructure.
  • Create batch data pipelines for machine learning on massive data sets.
  • Investigate new cloud services, software packages/tools, APIs, container management, and distributed systems to deliver quality analytics and machine learning at scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams—including software engineers, data engineers, and ML experts—to build new product features.
  • Enable rapid iteration and product quality through continuous A/B testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain solutions and platforms.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering and architects to utilize best practices and maintain compliance.
  • Manage databases effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with multiple stakeholders.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Data Engineer Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Rock-solid software engineer with demonstrated experience in enabling MLOps.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Expertise in AWS components and services, particularly IAM, ECS/EKS, EMR, S3, and Lambda/Serverless.
  • Experience with Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Strong skills in Python, shell scripting, and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD infrastructure using Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, containers, and related tools and systems.
  • Preferably experienced with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and manage tasks without micromanagement.
  • Proven experience in database management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
