Dental Coding Specialist (Medicaid)
Our client is looking for a Dental Coding Specialist with Medicaid experience to support their dental operations team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience from a longstanding company with an outstanding reputation in the healthcare industry!

This is a remote position.

Dental Coding Specialist Responsibilities

• Complete authorizations and referrals for dental services, including appointments and procedures.
• Input new patient information and update information in the system.
• Contact referring physicians for additional documentation.
• Review patient's medical history and insurance coverage for approval.
• Monitor and respond from a shared team email inbox.
• Assist with other clerical tasks, reporting, and general customer service as needed.

Dental Coding Specialist Qualifications 

• At least 1 year of administrative experience in a dental office setting..
• Dental coding experience and familiarity with Medicaid.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and the ability to effectively perform data entry, tracking, and reporting
• Proficient with electronic health record software and Adobe; SharePoint highly preferred.
• Effective communication skills with emphasis on customer service.
• Organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Resourceful with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $22-$23/hr. (DOE)
