Footwear Product Engineer
Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Footwear Product Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization within the product creation team. This position is ideal for someone who is driven by high performance and sustainable manufacturing standards in athletic footwear. The successful candidate will be a proactive, innovative engineer who is eager to grow, learn, and excel as a vital part of our dynamic team.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Footwear Product Engineer Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product developers, manufacturing teams, and external vendors across multiple regions, including Asia-based footwear product creation centers and factories.
  • Lead project management for key footwear initiatives, focusing on meeting performance, cost, and sustainability targets.
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to oversee the entire product lifecycle from development through commercialization.
  • Ensure product quality, consistency, and manufacturability at scale by providing critical feedback and adjustments to projects.
  • Utilize and promote the client’s engineering best practices in all project stages.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to share project details and status updates.

Footwear Product Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical field related to product engineering, or a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Consumer Product and/or Hardgoods manufacturing.
  • Proficient in pattern engineering, tooling, manufacturing processes, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and 3D digital models.
  • Skilled in using MS Office and 2D/3D CAD/CAM software.
  • Capable of hands-on operation of manufacturing machinery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, up to 10% as required.

Compensation: $26.67-$43.33/hr. (DOE)
