Grant Accountant
Our local non-profit client seeks a knowledgeable Grant Accountant to join their team! This is a stellar opportunity to join a mission-driven organization who has provided assistance and opportunities to families across the state of Oregon for over two decades.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days a week onsite in Seattle, Washington
Grant Accountant Responsibilities
- Oversee the allocation, tracking, and expenditure of grant funds to ensure compliance with funding regulations and organizational policies.
- Generate timely and accurate financial reports ensuring that all grant-related financial data is properly documented.
- Review grant agreements and ensure that all financial activities are in line with grant terms.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in preparing grant budgets and monitoring spending.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any discrepancies or concerns related to grant funding and expenditures.
- Maintain system data and knowledge of current government policies around contracts and grants.
Grant Accountant Qualifications
- At least 2 years of recent grant accounting experience.
- Preference given to those with CFR 200 experience.
- Experience with fund accounting software highly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office including strong Excel skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Compensation: $68k – $77k (DOE)
