Material Handler
Our client is seeking a Material Handler to assist their organization.

This role is onsite in Tualatin, Oregon.

Material Handler Responsibilities
Material Handlers are essential to the daily operation of every manufacturing business, moving inventory and production supplies safely into the warehouse. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials, employing the highest industry safety standards. Coordinate lifting with coworkers to maximize efficiency, paying careful attention to detail, and ensuring the proper completion of every order. Exemplify strong leadership skills, time management abilities, and motivation. As a Material Handler, you will be an integral part of company operations and strengthen our client's business’ efficiency, timeliness, and commitment to service.

Duties:

  • Inspect as well as correctly stage, identify and label all warehouse materials. Maintain records of material placement and storage as needed.
  • Keep a detailed inventory of all supplies and materials.
  • Regularly prepare, package and schedule Domestic orders for delivery. Maintaining good records of shipping paperwork and inventory.
  • Assist with loading delivery trucks as well as move materials using heavy machinery throughout the warehouse and office areas.
  • Handle pallets and boxes using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other moving tools throughout the facilities.
  • Keep loading docks, material storage, and office areas clean and organized.
  • Communicate with coworkers, vendors and customer shipping representatives by phone calls, emails, text messages, etc. to fulfill requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Complete receipts and fulfillments in our client’s ERP system for items received in the Tualatin warehouse.
  • Assist the Facilities group with management and maintenance of material handling equipment.
  • Complete inventory counts.
  • Assist other groups with other duties as needed.
  • Always using proper PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Material Handler Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience previous warehouse, production or inventory management experience.
  • Knowledge of 49CFR and shipping Lithium batteries.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep a detailed schedule.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to work as part of a team.
  • Able to work on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Able to regularly lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
  • Forklift Certification is a bonus but not required.

Compensation: $25/hr.
