Medicare Billing Specialist
Our client seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Medicare Billing Specialist to support their team! The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of Medicare billing requirements, and the ability to effectively communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments.

Medicare Billing Specialist Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely billing, collection, and follow-up for Medicare inpatient/outpatient accounts.
• Identify and process write-offs, resolve credit balances, and ensure compliance with Medicare billing requirements.
• Handle secondary insurance billing and follow-up on unpaid balances from secondary payers.
• Perform coding edits and ensure all Medicare billing requirements are met.
• Respond promptly to communications from Medicare and other relevant parties to ensure timely resolution.

Medicare Billing Specialist Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospital Medicare billing and follow-up.
• Knowledge of CMS billing regulations and Medicare-specific requirements.
• Familiarity with commercial third-party billing requirements.
• Proficient in using hospital systems, Excel, Word, and data entry tools like a 10-key adding machine.

Compensation: $26/hr. (DOE)
