Network Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to support a variety of infrastructure initiatives across multiple sites. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to work closely with a Senior Engineer on critical projects involving modern networking technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of operational stability and change control.

This role is a hybrid model in Wilsonville, Oregon working 8AM to 5PM with occasional flexibility to work weekends and off hours for emergencies.

Network Engineer Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Engineer on network projects and system configurations.
• Support ongoing maintenance and implementation of new networking solutions.
• Refresh and optimize wireless network environments.
• Replace and upgrade network hardware at multiple site locations.
• Conduct firmware updates to ensure system performance and security.
• Deploy network infrastructure components, including switching and wireless.
• Establish and manage out-of-band cellular network connections.
• Assist with redesigning network security protocols, particularly around 802 authentication.
• Follow best practices for minimizing downtime and mitigating risk during changes.
• Work cross-functionally with DevOps, software engineering, and service desk teams.

Network Engineer Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or infrastructure support.
• Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Meraki switching technologies.
• Experience deploying and managing Meraki wireless networks.
• Familiarity with AWS networking components and architecture.
• Comfortable working independently and remotely with a small, distributed infrastructure team.
• Demonstrated understanding of high-availability environments and risk-averse change management practices.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a values-driven, service-oriented culture.

Compensation: $45-$50/hr. (DOE)
