Payroll Specialist
Our east Portland client seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist with prevailing wage knowledge to join their team! The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and takes pride in their customer service approach.

This role is anticipating a hybrid schedule, requiring 3 days a week onsite after training is complete.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities

• Handle payroll processing ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Submit payroll reports ensuring accuracy against PLAs and adherence to prevailing wage requirements/payroll regulations.
• Audit payroll records to identify and resolve compliance issues.
• Serve as subject matter expert and provide guidance on prevailing wage best practices.

Payroll Specialist Qualifications

• Must have experience with Oregon and California Prevailing Wage.
• High preference for Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
• At least 2 years in payroll processing or compliance, preferably in construction or related industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and payroll software.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organization with strong time management skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to complete projects.

Salary: $29-$33/hr. (DOE)
