Platform Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of scalable infrastructure solutions tailored for data scientists and AIML engineers. This role is pivotal in creating innovative platforms that support automation, access control, data integration, networking, and observability.

This role is fully remote. PST working hours are required.

Platform Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and pipelines for AIML engineering teams.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and DevOps best practices.
• Develop solutions for access control, networking, data integrations, model refresh workflows, and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AWS cloud services and platform tools.
• Drive automation efforts to streamline infrastructure and improve scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Contribute to the evaluation and integration of advanced technologies, such as Databricks and AIML-related tools.

Platform Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and their implementation.
• Expertise in developing and deploying microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of AIML concepts such as ML Serving, ML Training, GenAI, RAG, Vector Databases, A/B Testing, and Model Experimentation (preferred).
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Spark, Kubernetes, and Sagemaker (preferred).
• Familiarity with the Databricks ecosystem (preferred).

Compensation: $61.33/hr. (DOE)
