Platform Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join their team in developing infrastructure solutions for data scientists and AI/ML engineers. This team focuses on automation, access control, networking, data integrations, model refresh, A/B testing, observability, and infrastructure as code (IaC). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, and software development with Python and Golang.

This role is fully remote.

Platform Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform solutions to support AI/ML engineering teams.
• Build and automate infrastructure components, including access control, networking (VPC, NAT Gateway), and data integrations.
• Implement observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, SignalFX, and New Relic.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and other DevOps technologies.
• Support model experimentation, A/B testing, and ML pipeline development.
• Work with cloud services, particularly AWS, to optimize system performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of platform services.
• Provide guidance on best practices for infrastructure and application deployment.

Platform Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development and platform engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Golang (both required).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts such as ML Serving, ML Training, GenAI, RAG, Vector Databases, and Model Experimentation.
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kubernetes, and Sagemaker.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

• Your experience is primarily in data science, modeling, or algorithm development.
• You have a background focused on IoT or edge computing rather than cloud-based platform scaling.
• You primarily come from a healthcare tech background with outdated technology stacks.

Compensation: Up to $61.33/hr. (DOE)
