PLS-CADD Technician
Our client is seeking a PLS-CADD Technician with a deep understanding of transmission line engineering. This position offers the opportunity to work with a team of skilled Analysts, utilizing your knowledge and skills to contribute to high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest and aptitude for applying remotely sensed data within PLS-CADD software to model and analyze transmission lines.

Candidates local to Portland, Oregon are preferred but remote candidates will be considered.

PLS-CADD Technician Responsibilities

• Model and update transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 550kV in PLS-CADD, ensuring compliance with client standards, specifications, preferences, and relevant industry standards.
• Apply remotely sensed data (LiDAR) to enhance existing transmission line models in PLS-CADD with high accuracy and minimal errors.
• Conduct structural analysis and design of various types of structures including pole, lattice, framed, and guyed.
• Specify and select appropriate transmission line components based on project requirements.

PLS-CADD Technician Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in transmission line engineering.
• Technical proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
• Familiarity with MicroStation is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision transmission line models using PLS-CADD.
• Must have a mobile device running at least iOS14.0 or greater; or Android 10.0 or greater for 2-factor authentication purposes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
