Senior Virtual Merchant
Our client is seeking a Senior Virtual Merchant to join their Virtual Product Creation and Merchandising team within the company’s Virtual Studios. This role involves utilizing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), product creation, and virtual merchandising to sell 3D versions of the company’s digital products within video games.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. Occasional travel may be required.

Senior Virtual Merchant Responsibilities

• Leverage in-depth gaming and technical knowledge of digital purchasing behavior and virtual consumer engagement to merchandise and sell products in the virtual space.
• Use virtual marketplace expertise to optimize digital store experiences and drive the sales of virtual products, with a specific focus on sneaker and streetwear culture.
• Utilize project management tasks using tools like Keynote, Excel, and Outlook Suite, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver virtual products.
• Scan dimensional products and convert them into virtual assets for digital merchandising and product creation.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate physical products into consumer-right virtual assortments.
• Define and execute the visual merchandising strategy for virtual products across gaming title digital stores, establishing launch cadences and optimizing product positioning.
• Use historical data, real-time feedback, and insights from sneaker and streetwear trends to inform future product strategies and respond to evolving consumer preferences.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely approvals, and addressing potential barriers to successful virtual product launches.
• Participate in key merchandising meetings to align virtual assortments with seasonal product strategies.
• Collaborate with teams including Direct-to-Consumer, Brand Marketing, and Merchandising to deliver seamless virtual product experiences.

Senior Virtual Merchant Qualifications:

• Expertise in gaming and technical knowledge of digital purchasing behavior, virtual consumer engagement, and virtual merchandising.
• Experience in virtual marketplaces and the ability to position products as leaders in the digital space.
• Familiarity and passion for sneaker and streetwear culture, with an understanding of trends, athletes, and relevant communities.
• Proven experience in merchandising or consumer product buying within the gaming industry, with an emphasis on virtual product creation.
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple timelines and developing workback calendars.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and adaptability to changing project demands.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams, overcome barriers, and meet critical product launch deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.

Compensation: $60/hr. (DOE)
