Utilities Customer Service Representative
Our Pacific Northwest client is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to support their team! The ideal candidates has strong communication, computer proficiency, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in coordination, billing, and utility operations being a plus.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite in Portland, Oregon.
Utilities Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Handle remote reconnect/disconnect orders, troubleshooting errors and dispatching manual work orders to the field.
- Manage Meter Exchange email box, correcting field and office errors related to metering and customer accounts.
- Respond to customer service inquiries, providing information on outages, connections, and work orders; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Coordinate and close work orders, collaborating with other departments to ensure proper processing and data entry.
- Review and analyze data to identify issues, recommending process improvements and ensuring accurate documentation.
Utilities Customer Service Representative Qualifications
- 5 years of customer service experience in utilities or related field.
- Knowledge of utility operations, including billing, metering systems, and electrical distribution a plus.
- Proficiency in billing and scheduling systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear interactions with customers, team members, and other departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and manage customer service inquiries and escalations.
- Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Salary: $25.52/hr. (DOE)
